S.O.S. SAVE OUR SCHOOL CHILDREN Town Hall Meeting – December 2, 2009

Please join The Chicago School Forensic Center, in partnership with the Imani Pearls Community Development Foundation, for a town hall meeting regarding one of our new initiatives, S.O.S. (SAVE OUR SCHOOL CHILDREN), on December 2, 2009. The town hall meeting strives to bring together a collective body of individuals who have a connection to youth in the Chicagoland area and are willing to join the The Forensic Center’s efforts to create an action plan and solutions to reduce youth violence.

Members of the panel include:

  • Carmen Casas, Senior Deputy Chief Probation Officer for Cook County Juvenile Court’s Probation Department
  • Judge Patrick E. McGann, Presiding Judge, Circuit Court, County Division
  • Ronald Holt, Chicago Police Officer, Blair Holt Peace Alliance
  • Khaldun Everage, Chicago Public Schools, Student Engagement & Community Outreach Manager, Regional Safety Facilitator, and Gang Specialist
  • Mark J. Walsh, Field Director at the Illinois Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence
  • High School Students, Chicago Public Schools

The moderator for the town hall meeting will be Tonya Francisco, Anchor, CLTV Morning News.

Parking will be available at 401 N. Wells Street ($6 with validation after 3:00 p.m. for tickets brought to the town hall meeting). This event is eligible to count for CPS High School Community Service Hours. Food will be provided.
