About the Forensic Center
The Chicago School Forensic Center is a community mental health center and vibrant learning and training center for best practices in forensic mental health. Founded by forensic psychology faculty in 2007, the center serves adults, children, and families, most of whom are court-ordered to seek mental health services.
TCS students work alongside Forensic Center faculty and staff in providing mental health services and programming through practica experiences and community service. These programs offer a great opportunity for psychology students to gain hands-on experience while under the supervision of experienced faculty and staff.
The Forensic Center is committed to social justice and empowerment of the under-served and, over the course of its history, has demonstrated significant social impact through the provision of high-quality forensic mental health services, through work in the community, and in the realm of policy and advocacy.
